Zoe McKenzie hits out at Labor for relying on ‘tokenistic handouts’

Liberal MP Zoe McKenzie has accused the Albanese government of giving Australians “tokenistic handouts” to boost their chances of a federal re-election. A new AFR/Freshwater Strategy poll has revealed more Australians believe Peter Dutton would be better suited to deal with President-elect Donald Trump, when compared to Anthony Albanese. “The reality is people expected a $275 reset, year on year, of their energy bills and they just haven’t got it,” Ms McKenzie told Sky News Australia.
